COVID-19 Update and Bliss Postponement
To Our Compassionate Community,
In response to the outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community, Maitri has implemented temporary changes to our services to reduce exposure and transmission of the virus. We have restricted access to our facility to only staff and residents for the next two weeks. We are carefully coordinating our approach with the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the Center for Disease Control.

We are taking these precautions because we value the health and well-being of the people we serve, as well as our employees, volunteers, supporters, and partners . Maitri is an essential service and will continue to deliver the critical care and services our residents depend on during the shelter in place order.

Additionally, we are postponing our annual Bliss Gala, originally scheduled for May 3rd, until Sunday, September 20th. We will be reaching out to all Gala Sponsors, and ticket holders individually to share this news. We look forward to celebrating with all of you at our SeptemBliss!

Maitri will continue our work of providing compassionate respite and hospice care for people living with HIV/AIDS and ensuring that no one has to suffer, transition, or die alone. But, we need your support now more than ever. During these unprecedented times, vulnerable populations like those Maitri serve feel more alone and isolated. We’re grateful for your support and commitment to our mission.

With gratitude,
Executive Director, Rev. Rusty Smith and the Maitri Leadership Team
